John:I'm here to tell you about a mistake that I made.
John:It's a little embarrassing to be honest with you.
John:We just got finished running a very aggressive promotion, telling everybody
John:that they can buy the you versus Google.
John:for 99 cents on March 1st, which might be today if you're
John:watching this video on March 1st.
John:that was our intention and we've done it before in the past.
John:It's a great way to use the Amazon algorithm, get yourself to the number one
John:best seller spot, and also put people in a position to give you verified reviews.
John:So you get a bunch of people all lined up, ready to go.
John:They buy the book.
John:They do it for super cheap and then now you can go beg for reviews and you look
John:like the books are flying off the shelves.
John:what's really interesting is once you're in the best seller spot, you actually
John:sell more books, which is one of those interesting self-fulfilling prophecies.
John:But here's what happened.
John:Amazon won't let us list the book at 99 cents because the file type is too big.
John:So we've done it in the past, so I knew it was possible, but because
John:the book is so robust, like when we did it in the past, we did.
John:One of my little rinky-dink books.
John:And this book is just so robust that I guess for whatever reason, Amazon
John:has decided that file sizes over a certain threshold can't be 99 cents.
John:And so they're like, well, you can decrease the file size, but if we do
John:that, we'd have to compress the images.
John:And the book is so image heavy that I'm like, man, we're gonna
John:kill the user experience and then we're gonna go sell people a bunch.
John:Obnoxiously horrible copies just to sell the books.
John:Here's what we decided.
John:We're just going to give you the book.
John:you know, I've been promising, literally now thousands of people that have opted
John:in that they're gonna be able to buy the book for 99 cents, and I don't feel right.
John:Not fulfilling on that.
John:So what we've done is we've created an opt-in form where you can just go to

John:I'll put a link in the description and you can have a PDF copy of the book for free.
John:pretty happy about doing this anyway, first of all, we're not gonna.
John:Our money on the books, we wanna get the word out there.
John:And if people benefit from it, great.
John:And if they hire us, great.
John:And if they subscribe to our YouTube channel, great.
John:If you are still interested in helping us you can buy the book for 2 99.
John:That's the lowest Amazon would let me list.
John:This book is two 90.
John:And what I'd really love if you are so inclined is if you wouldn't mind
John:going and buying the book for 10 99.
John:And then the key here, by the way, is to actually, read the book.
John:Because if you buy the book and then immediately try to write a
John:review, Amazon kills those reviews.
John:But if you buy the book and it sees, and Amazon sees you paging through
John:it over a couple of days, and then you come back and write a review,
John:those reviews end up being real.
John:And Amazon will let us keep those reviews and the reviews make or.
John:Books over the course of the long term.
John:to fulfill in our promise, because I don't wanna be a liar.
John:You can have the book for free.
John:It's yours.

John:and I'm not trying to say that flippantly.
John:I just know that it's gonna get jacked anyway.
John:Every time we've ever put anything out there from an info product
John:perspective that we try to charge for, people end up ripping it off.
John:So I'm like, you know what?
John:I'm gonna give it away.
John:I'll beat you to the punch you scam artists.
John:But for those of you that actually wanna support us, this is the way to do it.
John:The paperback book, which don't understand this at all by the
John:way, I have it listed at $30.
John:Amazon's automatically discounted that for some reason.
John:The paperback book is full color and super robust.
John:You can capture that too, but you can buy the Kindle book and give us
John:a review after having read it or at least read a little bit of it I would
John:be forever grateful to you and for you.
John:that's not in your budget for whatever reason uh, which by the way, I'm not
John:being funny, I realize that, three bucks depending on where you are in.
John:Just might not be accessible.
John:Take the PDF with my blessings.
John:We, hope I get to help you on your journey and this is the best
John:way I know how to make good on a promise that otherwise wouldn't
John:been able to fulfill on the promise.
