Kasim:

Google AI is here, actually it's been here for a really long time.

Kasim:

everything.

Kasim:

Google is more or less AI powered.

Kasim:

Your search results have been AI powered forever, and the whole

Kasim:

freak out we're having over ai, y'all is at a minimum just very late.

Kasim:

But whatever now, search generative experience is here, is new and

Kasim:

it's so much fun to play with.

Kasim:

I'm just gonna dive in.

Kasim:

Okay.

Kasim:

So go to Search Labs.

Kasim:

You can opt in yourself.

Kasim:

Google SS g e search, generative Experience.

Kasim:

It's Google's AI injected search experience.

Kasim:

Let's try an example, shall we?

Kasim:

Bam.

Kasim:

How long does it take to learn a new language?

Kasim:

I.

Kasim:

So you'll notice standard kind of ui, more or less, you have your search

Kasim:

bar at the top, which you're used to, your filters, which you're used to.

Kasim:

But Google has injected this colored background.

Kasim:

The generative AI and the colored background you'll

Kasim:

notice gets priority placement.

Kasim:

This is huge.

Kasim:

It's huge.

Kasim:

Y'all, Microsoft didn't do this.

Kasim:

Let me show you Microsoft real quick.

Kasim:

So here's Bing, and let's actually ask it the same question.

Kasim:

Oh, this is gonna turn into a comparison video.

Kasim:

This was unplanned, y'all.

Kasim:

So how long does it take to learn a new language?

Kasim:

Microsoft?

Kasim:

How long does it take to learn a new language?

Kasim:

Microsoft search is just Microsoft search and here we are with Microsoft.

Kasim:

Now they have this chat snippet over here on the right hand side.

Kasim:

But their primary real estate remains unencumbered.

Kasim:

. If I wanted to engage with Microsoft Chat then.

Kasim:

I could, and now I've triggered Microsoft Chat.

Kasim:

And bam, here we go.

Kasim:

And you'll notice a couple of things about Microsoft's chat.

Kasim:

Number one is their citations are in line.

Kasim:

I really appreciate that they did this, by the way.

Kasim:

I was curious as to how this was gonna get pulled off.

Kasim:

And I think that this was a pretty elegant solution.

Kasim:

So here's Microsoft's chat, but not fully integrated into search really.

Kasim:

And then here's Google's, which basically usurps search usurper.

Kasim:

And I've gotten different results based off of what I've searched.

Kasim:

So this is a paragraph of text.

Kasim:

and incidentally note that Google's citations are over here, and Google

Kasim:

even offers you context as to where.

Kasim:

This information came from specifically, you're never too old to learn.

Kasim:

A language came from both Wonderopolis and United Language Group.

Kasim:

It's interesting that they would need two sources for that.

Kasim:

again, I like that they're doing that too.

Kasim:

And I think I, like, I.

Kasim:

Google's citations better because it's giving me more context as to what

Kasim:

generated what result and the fact that they're offering these citations.

Kasim:

You know, it eases my concerns about the stolen clicks a little bit.

Kasim:

One of my points you know, I was first thinking about AI generated searches we're

Kasim:

de the creation of unique quality content.

Kasim:

So we're gonna have, content atrophy over time, which is

Kasim:

still gonna happen, by the way.

Kasim:

Like this isn't anywhere near as good as just being this person, right?

Kasim:

And you'll also notice, let's actually take a look.

Kasim:

So jump speak Wonderopolis.

Kasim:

Who else?

Kasim:

How to get fluent studying, go abroad.

Kasim:

Better humans.

Kasim:

United Language Group.

Kasim:

Studying go abroad.

Kasim:

So they're one of them.

Kasim:

So studying Go abroad has one citation where they used to have the snippet.

Kasim:

So I'd say they lose there pretty significantly.

Kasim:

'cause I'd much, much, much rather have the snippet, the linguist.

Kasim:

Was the linguist featured at all?

Kasim:

No.

Kasim:

So the linguist is the first organic result, y'all, and actually

Kasim:

didn't get pulled in by the ai.

Kasim:

That is interesting.

Kasim:

The very first organic result.

Kasim:

Ostensibly is the most relevant result for this query, and yet none of the

Kasim:

content used was pulled into the AI response, which means the AI's.

Kasim:

Algorithm or method of determination for relevance must be different than

Kasim:

the search algorithm, which also contradicts something that I said.

Kasim:

I said they would be the same.

Kasim:

So you can tell.

Kasim:

Right outta the gate that I'm stupid.

Kasim:

You shouldn't listen to anything I say ever.

Kasim:

The linguist, lemme just double check.

Kasim:

Is that true?

Kasim:

Jump speak wonder United study?

Kasim:

Oh.

Kasim:

No, I didn't mean to click.

Kasim:

I didn't mean see.

Kasim:

Oh, look what happened.

Kasim:

What a good example that is too.

Kasim:

That's gonna happen.

Kasim:

Wow.

Kasim:

Okay.

Kasim:

That's amazing.

Kasim:

Find number one.

Kasim:

Language testing.com.

Kasim:

Also not shown go abroad.

Kasim:

That one we did have.

Kasim:

So we've got one.

Kasim:

Did we have studying Go abroad?

Kasim:

Studying go abroad is different than go abroad.

Kasim:

so I'm not gonna count the snippet.

Kasim:

This is position zero.

Kasim:

Position 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Kasim:

The first cited site.

Kasim:

Number five in the organic results.

Kasim:

I think that is amazing.

Kasim:

And it means that if you're number one organically, you can't bank on being

Kasim:

number one in the degenerative ai.

Kasim:

And then now the question becomes, and this is a whole, whole can of

Kasim:

worms, how did the AI determine what to draw from if it's not based off of

Kasim:

Google's standard search algorithm?

Kasim:

It's not clearly as evidenced by this one search that I've

Kasim:

done, a sample size of one.

Kasim:

What is it based on?

Kasim:

that's gonna be a whole new discipline, y'all.

Kasim:

It's a whole new study.

Kasim:

How to make sure I show up in the AI results.

Kasim:

And then the question becomes, how valuable is that?

Kasim:

It's not as valuable as ss e o being position number one is way better

Kasim:

than being cited in the AI results because again, I have the answer here.

Kasim:

I don't really need to go to the results.

Kasim:

So let's continue to play that game.

Kasim:

Ask a follow up.

Kasim:

How many hours a day?

Kasim:

, what's the fastest language you can learn?

Kasim:

And then it brings me to the chat experience.

Kasim:

So now you'll notice there's a, there's a change in, I don't wanna

Kasim:

say ui, but formatting, right?

Kasim:

So I got paragraphs of text here and then I got bullet pointed to, and

Kasim:

incidentally, the content's good.

Kasim:

How long does it take to learn a new language?

Kasim:

It takes between 422 hours of study.

Kasim:

that's a real answer.

Kasim:

You can take anywhere between three months to two years to learn

Kasim:

how to speak, write, and read.

Kasim:

And then, you know, at this point it'd be like, well, wait a minute,

Kasim:

what if I just wanna learn to speak?

Kasim:

I don't need to to be literate.

Kasim:

US Foreign Service Institute says, now that's interesting.

Kasim:

That means that Google is.

Kasim:

Not citing the source, they're citing someone who's citing

Kasim:

someone, which is dangerous.

Kasim:

You, you would assume Google wants source citations.

Kasim:

You're never too old, blah, blah, blah.

Kasim:

Filler bullshit.

Kasim:

Okay, now we have.

Kasim:

Bullet points here are some of the easiest languages to learn for English speakers.

Kasim:

I don't know why there's an accent in that.

Kasim:

I just assumed we're going foreign language with it.

Kasim:

Hopefully I didn't offend anybody.

Kasim:

It was pretty good though, right?

Kasim:

Spanish easy spelling, pronunciation, grammar, Italian.

Kasim:

I like that.

Kasim:

It actually answers my question, but instead of just Spanish, Italian,

Kasim:

Norwegian, it gives me specifics as to why they're the easiest and

Kasim:

then, oh, look at this, and then it continues and gives me search results.

Kasim:

Interesting.

Kasim:

I bet you this goes away or, or becomes an accordion.

Kasim:

There's no way they keep this inside of the chat experience.

Kasim:

This feels like pandering.

Kasim:

And then here again, are there citations?

Kasim:

And then I've got the opportunity to thumbs up or thumbs down

Kasim:

the response if I want to.

Kasim:

Now the ask a follow-up prompt is gone.

Kasim:

It's down here.

Kasim:

Which again, that's why I think they're gonna get rid of these search results.

Kasim:

I just don't see these lasting.

Kasim:

Let's get commercial with it.

Kasim:

Now, this is where you would think the ads would stall to go.

Kasim:

Oh, Babu, my question for you, if you're Google, where do you put the ads?

Kasim:

Where do you put the ads?

Kasim:

Now you can pull a binging.

Kasim:

What binging has done, by the way, and I've seen them do it a bunch, a

Kasim:

bunch, is that's, ah, I'm exaggerating.

Kasim:

I've seen it like a dozen times.

Kasim:

These links are their citations, but at the top, I just wanna see if I

Kasim:

can trigger an ad for you real quick.

Kasim:

I want y'all to see the way this works.

Kasim:

Come on.

Kasim:

Binging Super lawyers.

Kasim:

What Bing was doing is in the list at the very top.

Kasim:

The first one was an ad and that's how they were embedding their ads.

Kasim:

I could see Google doing something similar to that, the rollovers, but

Kasim:

that's not very prominent ad space.

Kasim:

So I think what's gonna happen is the citations become the ads, number one.

Kasim:

If the citations become the ads, does that mean the content needs

Kasim:

to be drawn from the citations?

Kasim:

Does that mean to be a successful advertiser on Google, you need

Kasim:

to have high quality content Stands to reason, doesn't it?

Kasim:

Or do they carve out a whole new section of real estate for.

Kasim:

The ads.

Kasim:

And if they do, how do they make that, how does that operate

Kasim:

from a mobile perspective?

Kasim:

With mobile, these are gonna be, it's basically this frame or this frame.

Kasim:

I really like the way they've positioned these citations, but

Kasim:

y'all, this is really interesting.

Kasim:

I don't know where they're gonna put their ads.

Kasim:

I don't think Google knows where they're gonna put their ads, but here we are,

Kasim:

Google ad managers and we don't know.

Kasim:

How Google, what is this?

Kasim:

Is this a Chrome extension?

Kasim:

I have.

Kasim:

What do you, Oh, Grammarly.

Kasim:

Go away.

Kasim:

Grammarly.

Kasim:

I don't grammar good.

Kasim:

The problem is, is Google would have to maintain continuity with their experience.

Kasim:

I.

Kasim:

That's what they've been so good at In search, I got a list of search links.

Kasim:

I got a list of ads.

Kasim:

They're not gonna give me like real content and then just lists of ads.

Kasim:

That becomes, that's banner blindness.

Kasim:

That's you know, Gmail has Gmail.

Kasim:

ads look like mail YouTube's ad looks like YouTube video.

Kasim:

you'd have to maintain continuity with the experience.

Kasim:

So I guess the ads go in the citation.

Kasim:

This is really interesting.

Kasim:

By the way, Duolingo free app babble, well-priced Rosetta

Kasim:

Stone Best online Spanish course.

Kasim:

Overall

Kasim:

what should a course on Spanish cost?

Kasim:

because Google said they're gonna be rolling out ads.

Kasim:

This is really, really brilliant.

Kasim:

Who figure that out.

Kasim:

Free courses.

Kasim:

Well see this should give me a list of the free courses, paid courses,

Kasim:

live classes, group classes.

Kasim:

This is also feels irrelevant.

Kasim:

So man, that's really interesting.

Kasim:

So if I go back to search, What if I say now, because it's, s

Kasim:

g e is experimental, it's only gonna trigger on certain results.

Kasim:

I wonder if I say personal injury lawyer Scotsdale get an AI

Kasim:

powered overview for this search.

Kasim:

So first of all, if I click on one of these Port Fools, it's $500 a click.

Kasim:

I should just do it, but I'm not going to.

Kasim:

So we've got Sweet James.

Kasim:

Are you kidding me?

Kasim:

Dear God, prior Law and Toson Law, if I'd just got rear-ended,

Kasim:

I don't wanna talk to Sweet James.

Kasim:

Generate

Kasim:

There are many personal injury lawyers in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Kasim:

Here's some of the top rated lawyers, okay, so we're going off of.

Kasim:

Ranking kind of right?

Kasim:

45, star reviews to 112 five star reviews.

Kasim:

Why is this fool outranked?

Kasim:

This dude, this one outranks both of them.

Kasim:

It's madness.

Kasim:

I don't understand.

Kasim:

here's the other thing too.

Kasim:

I'm here and they gave me this guy first.

Kasim:

This guy second.

Kasim:

This guy third nap, fourth.

Kasim:

They actually gave me the closest attorney last, so it's not proximity.

Kasim:

Oh look, they actually used Google as its own citation and

Kasim:

then they used, what is urine?

Kasim:

They used this website.

Kasim:

Lots of citations.

Kasim:

Oh, wow.

Kasim:

Citation heavy.

Kasim:

but y'all, this becomes the ad.

Kasim:

Right?

Kasim:

Right.

Kasim:

Like, there's no way, this is the most valuable real estate Google has ever had.

Kasim:

they're getting $500 per click, and you wanna tell me that they're gonna bump that

Kasim:

down below the fold, prioritize an organic result, and just forego that monetization.

Kasim:

There's no.

Kasim:

Way, there's no way.

Kasim:

But an AI generated result also couldn't have, you couldn't

Kasim:

turn four of these into ads.

Kasim:

That's no longer ai.

Kasim:

That's just an ad network now.

Kasim:

Right?

Kasim:

So I think that what ends up happening is there's one AI result

Kasim:

and then that, that, that click is now who knows what four grand.

Kasim:

What percentage do most personal attorneys take?

Kasim:

Of all the attorneys in Scottsdale, which one appears to have won the most cases?

Kasim:

I'm just curious as to, You were unhelpful.

Kasim:

and then we're back to organic.

Kasim:

Now the ads aren't even showing up, man, y'all, this one blows me away.

Kasim:

Where are the ads gonna go?

Kasim:

It's gonna be, it's, I think it's gonna have to be single placement.

Kasim:

So I go back.

Kasim:

Personal injury Attorney Scottsdale.

Kasim:

What if I say, hold on, let's do this.

Kasim:

Google at agency.

Kasim:

I know all these fools, I'm better than all these fools a Google.

Kasim:

Now this prompted without me even asking.

Kasim:

And here are the ads, good agencies, all of them.

Kasim:

God bless them.

Kasim:

And then here are the organic results.

Kasim:

And again, what do I pay?

Kasim:

I can pay as much as a hundred dollars per click, especially for

Kasim:

this phrase, Google Ads Agency.

Kasim:

And then here's Google Forgo that.

Kasim:

Money.

Kasim:

No way.

Kasim:

No way.

Kasim:

Also, why am I not on this list?

Kasim:

What the hell?

Kasim:

On average working with goad agents account gives you $505,000 per month.

Kasim:

Top tier goads agencies can cost over $10,000 per month.

Kasim:

Interesting that they would put that.

Kasim:

This is so much fun to play with.

Kasim:

It's so amazingly frustrating.

Kasim:

Because y'all, , look at this.

Kasim:

Here's the thing.

Kasim:

This might be the most important video I shoot this year.

Kasim:

Everything about search is going to change.

Kasim:

Ad placement is going to change.

Kasim:

What we're bidding on is gonna change how many competitors we have,

Kasim:

if we have competitors, is gonna change the way that people interface

Kasim:

and interact is going to change.

Kasim:

And that's the other thing that I wanna note too, because I'm,

Kasim:

just trying to figure out the change in the search experience.

Kasim:

What we can't treat, this is search, this isn't search, this is a conversation.

Kasim:

So, you know, you'd come in and say like multicam set up for podcast.

Kasim:

And then it'd be like generating AI results.

Kasim:

Now with normal search, I would say now I'm just gonna

Kasim:

go click on all these links.

Kasim:

And what I like to do is I like to open everything in a new tab and

Kasim:

I'm basically done with search.

Kasim:

And now I'm onto the results.

Kasim:

With this, I'm gonna say, well, wait a minute.

Kasim:

What are the easiest cameras to set up that are still hd?

Kasim:

and so on and so forth.

Kasim:

And now it's like, can you, and I wonder if I can treat this

Kasim:

like chat, d p t So it's not like it has Google barred installed.

Kasim:

Here's a project plan for building Multicam set of studio.

Kasim:

Oh yeah, it sure can.

Kasim:

This is my point.

Kasim:

So instead of one search, multiple links go off onto the links.

Kasim:

It's one search catalyze conversation.

Kasim:

Have multiple conversations with Google, which means the interaction with Google

Kasim:

is going to be where people stay.

Kasim:

So Google's going to steal browsing time, not steal, but

Kasim:

basically own browsing time.

Kasim:

And then the question still is where, are the ads,

Kasim:

y'all?

Kasim:

This is really interesting.

Kasim:

Very exciting.

Kasim:

This is gonna change literally everything.

Kasim:

I'm not using that word like a millennial, by the way.

Kasim:

I mean, it literally, this is gonna change literally everything.

Kasim:

And yeah, I don't think you have to worry.

Kasim:

You don't have to be first.

Kasim:

Just don't be last.

Kasim:

Love to know y'all's thoughts.

Kasim:

Where do you think Google puts the ads?

Kasim:

When do you think they start rolling 'em in?

Kasim:

Maybe you already know.

Kasim:

Maybe you've seen ads.

Kasim:

If you've seen ads in Google's s g e, tell me.

Kasim:

Tell me.

Kasim:

Google said that they're gonna be rolling 'em out, but I haven't seen 'em.

Kasim:

I wanna know.

Kasim:

I shoot a video every day, like, comment, subscribe, be my friend, send me money.

Kasim:

You don't have to do that.

Kasim:

I'm just kidding.

Kasim:

I don't have a mechanism for that.

Kasim:

But you can hire us if you wanted to Google Ads agency you wouldn't

Kasim:

have to work with me, I promise.

Kasim:

You can just think about it.

Kasim:

It's up to you.
